Eating Disorders & Body Image Counseling
Do you find yourself thinking about food and your body nonstop? Have you become obsessed with tracking food or exercising? Do you constantly criticize your body and pick apart your appearance? Maybe you feel out of control around food, and then feel intense guilt after eating?
You are not alone. Struggling with food and body is highly complex and deeply painful. With the help of a competent, knowledgeable, and compassionate eating disorder therapist, it is possible to let go of unhelpful patterns and work towards self acceptance.
Depression Treatment
Do you ever have the feeling that there’s just “no point”? Are you noticing that it’s extremely difficult to get out of bed and complete your daily tasks? Or maybe you are able to complete your daily tasks, but it feels like you are dragging yourself through each moment? Have you felt consistently sad, numb, or hopeless, even if there isn’t always a clear reason?
Depression is not your fault. We are often made to believe that we are just being lazy or seeking attention when we are struggling with depression. In reality, depression is not a choice and you are not alone. Treatment for depression allows us to regain our energy and enjoy the things we love again.
Anxiety Therapy
Are you worrying constantly, about things big and small? Do you ever struggle with racing thoughts about the future, or find yourself ruminating about events that have happened in the past? Have your worries ever held you back from going certain places or doing certain things?
Anxiety is the most common mental health concern in the U.S. Anxiety is exhausting mentally and physically, and can often be debilitating. The good news is that anxiety is highly treatable and most individuals report a significant decrease in anxiety after beginning therapy.
Perfectionism Counseling
Have you ever had the feeling that no matter how hard you try, you are never good enough? Do you find that you are constantly beating yourself up for every little mistake you make? Do you obsess and ruminate when you receive critical feedback from others? Are you a people pleaser?
Thinking this way can be agonizing. Nobody chooses to struggle with perfectionism, but it is often extremely hard for us to let it go. For many of us, perfectionism feels safe - but it is not. It keeps us stuck, and it can contribute to an array of other mental health concerns. Luckily, it is possible to unlearn these destructive cycles and treat ourselves with compassion and flexibility.
